Location

Every plant has its own requirements when it comes to how much light it needs.

In Europe we have seasons that sometimes differ greatly from one another. That's why it's important to react individually.

In summer, for example, you should be aware that the sun is very intense around midday and the plants should therefore be protected from it. This can be achieved with a light, translucent curtain, for example.

In winter, on the other hand, the plants may not get enough light. If this is the case, you can place them directly next to the window or set up a plant lamp. Make sure that the number of lumens is high.

The location names are described according to cardinal directions because this allows the lighting requirements to be communicated very clearly and thus it can be kept relatively simple.

South window – means that the plant has a high light requirement, but should be protected from direct midday sun in summer if possible

East/West windows

– means that the plant does not have such a high need for light and tolerates morning or evening sun quite well

North window

– means that the plant does not have high demands on the light supply and can also survive in a room without direct sunlight.
