Just as there are differences in shape and color, there are also differences in the growth of plants.

Some plants can grow in different ways, some of them grow up trees and others stay more on the ground.

Climbing plants prefer to grow upwards. If they are large enough, they should be supported with a climbing aid. This allows them to hold on and usually produces larger leaves.

Hanging plants can be placed higher or hung and then grow downwards, usually towards the light.

The bushy plants tend to stay on the ground and spread out there.

Some of them remain rather compact, while others can take up an entire room.

How quickly a plant grows depends on all of these factors. If we assume optimal conditions, there are some that can produce a new leaf every week and some that take their time.
